Over the next few months, 3dOkieDrops will be taking on one of our most meaningful projects yet: building a Toddler Mobility Trainer to give completely free to a child in need.
A Toddler Mobility Trainer, or TMT, is a specialized 3D-printed mobility device that helps young children build strength, balance, confidence, and independence. Unlike a traditional walker or wheelchair, it encourages active movement while providing the support a child needs to safely explore the world around them.
TMTs are generally designed for children ages 1ā8 and may benefit children living with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, developmental delays, muscle weakness, balance disorders, or mobility challenges following surgery. Proper fit and use should always be discussed with the childās healthcare professional.
The device will be carefully printed and assembled using durable PETG and flexible TPU materials. When it is complete, 3dOkieDrops will select a child in need to receive it at absolutely no cost to their family.
We are accepting donations to help purchase the filament, hardware, wheels, parts, and other supplies needed to complete this special build.
